Through breathtaking visuals and insights from local conservationists, this limited series brings to life the vital relationship between people and the rivers they cherish. Empowering Local Experts
Reflections of the River is dedicated to supporting local businesses in every region we film, ensuring that our work directly benefits the communities connected to the rivers we highlight. In collaborating with local guides, fly shops, and outfitters, we prioritize working with those who know these waters best. In this particular scene, we partnered with professional guide, Kent Anderson and Kirk's Fly Shop, a family-owned business in Estes Park, Colorado, whose expertise and commitment to conservation helped shape the story we’re telling.

Words with Purpose
The powerful narration of Reflections of the River is delivered by renowned actor Tom Skerritt, whose deep connection to rivers began with his iconic role in A River Runs Through It. Inspired by the film’s exploration of the beauty and fragility of nature, Skerritt felt compelled to further the conversation on river conservation. His passion for protecting these vital waterways led him to spearhead this limited series, lending his voice to guide the audience through the stories of the rivers, the communities that rely on them, and the urgent need for preservation.
Indigenous Stewardship
Tribal perspectives are explored in every episode, showcasing the deep-rooted connection Indigenous communities have with the rivers and landscapes they’ve safeguarded for generations. By amplifying the voices of tribal leaders, we celebrate their knowledge and resilience, while also recognizing that their sustainable practices are vital in addressing the pressing challenges facing our waterways today.

Exploring Ecosystems
Every river and ecosystem featured in Reflections of the River is unique, which is why the series spans multiple regions and rivers across the country. From the fish that inhabit each river to the surrounding landscapes, the biodiversity of these ecosystems plays a crucial role in their health and sustainability. Alongside this diversity, every region faces its own set of challenges—whether it’s water scarcity, pollution, or habitat destruction. By showcasing these differences, the series highlights the tailored approaches needed to protect and preserve each river and the species that depend on them.
Innovative Solutions
In addition to highlighting environmental and community leaders, Reflections of the River provides a platform for developers and business owners to share their vital perspectives on conservation and how it is incorporated into their work. By fostering open communication across industries, the series encourages collaboration and idea-sharing to tackle the challenges facing our waterways. This inclusive approach ensures that all voices, from conservation advocates to business leaders, contribute to the conversation, driving meaningful and sustainable solutions for the future of river protection.
