Tom Skerritt
Narration & Executive Producer
Thomas Roy Skerritt is an American actor who has appeared in over 40 films and more than 200 television episodes since 1962. He is known for his film roles in M*A*S*H, Alien, The Dead Zone, Top Gun, A River Runs Through It, Steel Magnolias, Up in Smoke, and the television series Picket Fences and Cheers.
Robert Redford
Narration
In addition to his work as an actor, director and producer, Robert Redford has been a noted environmentalist since the early 1970’s. An advocate for climate change awareness and clean energy for over 40 years, Redford received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama in 2016. He has served as a trustee for the Natural Resources Defense Council for 50 years and is the co-founder of The Redford Center with his late son James. As the founder of Sundance Institute, Redford has nurtured generations of innovative voices in independent culture through the Institute’s programs, including the Sundance Film Festival.


Conrad Anker
Interview
Conrad Anker, a member of The North Face athlete team, has made a specialty of climbing the most technically challenging terrain he can find. This search has taken him from the mountains of Alaska and Antarctica to the big walls of Patagonia and Baffin, to the massive peaks of the Himalaya, including the summit of Everest three times.
Based in Bozeman, Montana and active in numerous charitable causes, Anker serves on the board of Protect Our Winters (POW), Memphis Rox and the American Himalayan Fund. “My involvement with these organizations is intrinsically rewarding,” Anker says “and it’s among the most important work I do. It feels good to be able to give back to our community of humans and to the natural world.”
Tom Kiernan
Interview
Tom Kiernan has dedicated his career to protecting the nation’s lands and waters. As President and CEO of American Rivers, Tom is spearheading a vision to transform our nation’s rivers and clean water by protecting 1 million river miles, removing 30,000 dams, and mobilizing a powerful river movement. Tom previously helmed the American Wind Energy Association and the National Parks Conservation Association. An avid rower who spends most mornings on the Potomac River, he and his wife Kathy have three grown children. Tom holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Eric Ladd is the Founder and CEO of Outlaw Partners, an award-winning experiential real estate, marketing, media, events, and adventure travel company based in Montana. With over 30 years of experience in real estate sales and development, Eric has achieved over $2 billion in sales and co-founded Outlaw Real Estate Partners, one of the largest developers in southwest Montana. His passion for wilderness and rivers led him to launch Boundary Expeditions, offering exclusive rafting trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.
Eric is deeply committed to community service and environmental conservation, actively supporting various non-profit organizations and initiatives focused on land preservation, wildlife protection, and social action.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Suzanne Cooper
Interview
Suzanne Cooper has been the Vice President of Power Services at Bonneville Power Administration since April 2021. In this position, she is responsible for the acquisition, sales and scheduling of wholesale and bulk power; generation asset management of the federal hydro system and one nuclear plant; energy efficiency; management of wholesale power contracts and rates; and business relationships with more than 140 retail utility customers. Power Services produces $3 billion in annual revenues and has an annual capital budget of over $200 million.


Kayeloni Scott
Interview
Kayeloni Scott is an enrolled Spokane Tribal Member with strong Nez Perce ancestry. She grew up in the Lewiston, Idaho area where she attended high school and, subsequently, college at Lewis Clark State. From 2017-2022, she served as the Communications Manager for the Nez Perce Tribe, then American Rivers as the Communications Director for the Northwest Region. She has since continued her work with the Nez Perce Tribe, providing communications consulting on Lower Snake River issues, and was recently appointed as Executive Director for the Columbia/Snake River Campaign.
John Maclean
Interview
John N. Maclean is an award-winning author and journalist. He spent thirty years at the Chicago Tribune, most of that time as a Washington correspondent. He then wrote a series of non-fiction books about fatal wildland fires, beginning with Fire on the Mountain, an account of the deadly 1994 fire on Storm King Mountain in Colorado. His memoir, Home Waters: A Chronicle of Family and a River, has been hailed as lyrical tribute to Montana and a worthy companion to his father’s novella, A River Runs Through It.


Ken Workman
Interview
Ken is a Native American from the Duwamish Tribe and 5th generation Grandson of Chief Seattle. He retired from The Boeing Company’s Flight Operations Engineering Group in 2015 where he worked as a Systems and Data Analyst. He is a Council member of the Duwamish Tribe and Board President of Duwamish Tribal Services, the non-profit arm of the Duwamish Tribe. Ken lives in Seattle with his wife professor emeriti Dr. BJ Bullert (PhD).
Chairman Shannon Wheeler
Interview
Shannon Wheeler, Chairman of the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee (“NPTEC”), is an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe. Mr. Wheeler has an entrepreneurial background and from 1990 to 2016, was primarily involved in his family business in various forms.
Mr. Wheeler was first elected to the NPTEC, the governing body of the Nez Perce Tribe, in May of 2016. In May of 2022, he was elected to his third three-year term. During his tenure on NPTEC, Mr. Wheeler has served as Treasurer (2017–2018), Chairman (2018–2021, 2023), and Vice- Chairman (2021 – 2022). Additionally, Mr. Wheeler has chaired numerous committees while serving on the NPTEC, including Budget and Finance Subcommittee, Land Commission Enterprise, Law and Order Subcommittee, and Climate Change/Energy Subcommittee.
